Note how this design was completed to take advantage off a long, high, narrow space.

glodsmith1161x1

Taking advantage of 17 ft ceilings, we did not place drop ceiling utilizing  “midnight black” color paint and sprayer we completed wiring ceiling fans lighting and paint before creating the wall design

The work area is visible yet cozy. a used steel security door with chain link style look was picked up at a junk yard and would close the opening yet keep it open to view price to make one 375.00 price paid for one we blasted and painted black 86.00 with paint

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith1081x1

Denise used free hand and stenciling to complete the mural with high ceilings and all the faux finishing we went 17 foot up as well as areas that we wanted to look open 12 foot with murals

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith0861x1

The use of  a hand full of three d items like the 4 water bearers  top left added just the right touch

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith0891x1

Note the 3-d effects. these walls look feel and are believed to be stone in fact, a rich mixture of textures proved to be a winner the floors were estimated on line cutting the concrete and utilizing kemico acid stain

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith1011x1

Rock cut the floors but realized a sealer had been utilized Rock first utilized kemico in 1984! the test area just happened to be missing the sealer! so, at 7 PM in the middle of the floor escapade, Denise went and picked up the tile you see she is awesome for it was absolutely a winner added 600.00 to the job. that was fantastic cheaper than the cheap but excellent Kemico!

Design colors mixing matching and all of it coming together  what design is

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith0881x1

The walls are not flat with some mud every brick or block or type of look resembles different unique stone,  before I forget note the columns? Rock is at home depot he sees these aluminum columns for porches came in three pieces that you snap together to make a round pole.  He grabs a box brings to job site mounts on walls making three relief columns makes tops bottoms uses a mix of mud and what ever else he uses to make it like he does paints and finishes everyone though the were real

 favicon_16x16

 glodsmith1001x1

Lime stone granite fired clay the list goes on each the right thickness each the right texture where some walls  represented out doors the absolute perfect mixing of watered down hand applied paints pigments and oils produced stone granite limestone fired clay and even porcelain look and feel

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith0821x1

Yes, in a manner that exhibits moss as well as aged wind and sun swept beauty

  favicon_16x16

  glodsmith1021x1

In the night or in the sunny day the detail is amazingly real, this much faux finish would retail at 15000,00 without all the extras like columns and free standing stone looking details

The work area

  favicon_16x16

Those columns are plaster rock built the top floor for storage he utilized 4 x 4 and placed the inexpensive columns over the 4 x 4 after cutting top and bottom then he fortified the plaster with mud and liquid nails. made to last 40 years

  favicon_16x16

glodsmith0851x1

The details on these standing columns were completed by Denise she then using liquid nails mounted acrylic jewelers boxes on top that mirror was liquid nailed to wall rock then set Italian tiles around tapped it off and created the neat 3-d work. those sun bursts and 1/4 inch off wall  hand rubbed with synthetic gold leaf in the “sun” is says “SPQR” [SENATE AND PEOPLE OF ROME] raised near 1/2 inch off wall Senate and People of Rome.
